Striped Cheetah
Now, this may be the first and last post like this because I think it may look a little tacky, but we're here now aren't we? Trying new things.
I wore this outfit to school, with full intent of getting a fire photo to upload. But, by the time class was over, I went straight to bed with different intentions. And now that we can't go outside, I've resorted to this.
So, being the fancy, bougie blogger I am, I neatly laid my outfit out on my sherpa blanket with hopes that it'll look half way decent.
The center of the outfit is based around the mustard belted paperbag pants. The mustard pants are the part of the piece that brings the outfit together...like the bread on a sandwich. Every outfit has this type of piece, so that the outfit as a whole doesn't look like a jumbled mess. Imagine if the pants were a different pattern...catastrophe. Not saying that it couldn't be done, but in some cases it shouldn't.
The striped top and the cheetah print pumps really adds flavor to the outfit...without over powering each other. The shirt could also be poke-a-doted or a solid color, same with the shoes. It is truly based on how you decide to pair them together.
In more detail, the shirt is from American Eagle, the pants...Fashionnova (?)...and the shoes are from Nine West. But, honestly you can find these type of items almost anywhere.
If you are getting into patterns, I recommend an outfit such as this one to get started. Have your two patterns, both on the neutral side and then add your bread...or your center piece. And, your center piece doesn't have to be the pants, it could be the shirt or the shoes...you just have to pay attention to how everything flows.
